Below is a concise week-by-week snapshot of our 10-week, small-group program. Each session runs 2 hours.

  1. Week 1: Icebreakers & Introductions

    • Focus: Self-introductions, name questions, and simple greetings
    • Outcome: Students comfortably introduce themselves and ask peers basic questions
  2. Week 2: Daily Routines & Time
    • Warm-up: Picture sequencing of morning/evening activities
    • Focus: Present simple, time expressions (“at 7 o’clock,” “in the morning”)
    • Outcome: Students describe their typical day and ask about others’ routines
  3. Week 3: Directions & Transportation
    • Warm-up: Map-based find-the-route challenge
    • Focus: Asking/giving directions, prepositions of place, transport vocabulary
    • Outcome: Students navigate a map dialogue and role-play asking for directions
  4. Week 4: Hobbies & Free Time
    • Warm-up: “Find someone who…” mingling activity
    • Focus: Talking about hobbies, likes/dislikes (“I enjoy…,” “I’m not a fan of…”)
    • Outcome: Students conduct short interviews about leisure activities
  5. Week 5: Food & Ordering Out
    • Warm-up: Menu-matching picture activity
    • Focus: Restaurant dialogue, polite requests, ingredient vocabulary
    • Outcome: Students role-play ordering meals and handling café situations
  6. Week 6: Opinions & Debate
    • Warm-up: Agree/Disagree line-up
    • Focus: Expressing opinions, using “I think…,” “In my opinion…,” turn-taking language
    • Outcome: Students engage in a guided mini-debate on familiar topics
  7. Week 7: Storytelling & Past Events
    • Warm-up: Two-truths-and-a-lie game
    • Focus: Past simple, sequencing words (“first,” “then,” “finally”)
    • Outcome: Students recount a personal experience or travel story
  8. Week 8: Future Plans & Predictions
    • Warm-up: “Next week I will…” quick-fire sentences
    • Focus: Will vs. going to, future time markers (“tomorrow,” “next month”)
    • Outcome: Students share upcoming plans and make simple forecasts
  9. Week 9: Cultural Exchange & Traditions
    • Warm-up: Show-and-tell of a cultural object or image
    • Focus: Describing festivals, customs; cultural vocabulary
    • Outcome: Students present a brief overview of a cultural tradition from their background
  10. Week 10: Final Presentations & Feedback
    • Warm-up: Reflection survey (“Most improved skill…”)
    • Focus: Unscripted conversation, fluency check, peer feedback
    • Outcome: Each student leads a 3-minute topic presentation and receives constructive feedback
